Introduction: It’s well known that 80-90% of the temporomandibular joints (TMJ] dysfunctions have direct connection with myofascial syndrome. Most of patients went for specialized stomatological care, had pain of masticatory muscles due to there pathological tension what determined the urgency of our examination.

Aim: Is to study DiaDENS-therapy effectiveness included into the rehabilitation complex for patients with myofascial syndrome.

Methods: We examined 16 patients suffered from the face pain of the indeterminate genesis lasing 4-6 years. Patients were divided into two groups. Patients of the group I (6 persons] were orthopedically treated in two stages. Patients of the group II had orthopedic and DiaDENS treatment course with DiaDENS-DT device at the same time. Common and local acupoints of the disease area were chosen for irritation. Treatment course consisted of 10 sessions performed daily. Irritation of skin projection of the acupoints was done with frequency of 77 Hz.

Results: Our results showed that pain was absolutely stopped for 37% of the I group patients after the treatment done. But it was not possible to treat the myotonia and patients kept discomfort due to it. Myotonia of the masticatory muscles and pain syndrome were treated for 63% of patients of the group II treated with DiaDENS therapy included into the complex course.

Conclusions: Received results demonstrate total treatment effectiveness of the patient’s with myofascial syndromes when DiaDENS-therapy is involved into the rehabilitation treatment.
